Lucky Dip (luckydip.me) is a free, browser-based number generator. This page explains, in plain English, what happens to your data. The short version: the generator itself runs entirely in your browser, there are no accounts, and we never see the numbers you generate. The only information that reaches a server is a Winner Story, and only if you choose to submit one — see below.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless service. It counts visits and page views in aggregate — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal data, and nothing that identifies you. Because it sets no cookies and stores no personal data, it runs without needing your consent.
Advertising
To keep Lucky Dip free, we show ads via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads. If you're in the UK, EU or Switzerland, Google's consent message lets you choose:
- Consent — you allow personalised ads, and Google may use cookies to tailor ads to you.
- Do not consent — you get non-personalised ads only; no ad-personalisation cookies are used.

What's stored on your device
Lucky Dip saves a few preferences in your browser's local storage — your theme, sound and shake settings, your recent dips, and your privacy choice. This never leaves your device and is not sent to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser data for this site removes it.
Winner Stories
If you submit a Winner Story, that submission does leave your device. It's the one part of Lucky Dip that isn't purely local, so here's exactly what happens to it.
- What's sent: only what you type into the form — an optional name, an optional game, and your story. Nothing is collected automatically alongside it, and the form asks for nothing else.
- Where it goes: a Cloudflare Worker, which stores it in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare acts as the hosting provider; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- It isn't published straight away. Every submission is held for review and only appears on the site once it's been approved by a human. Anything spammy, offensive or containing personal details about other people is rejected.
- What becomes public: if approved, the name, game and story you entered are shown on the site to anyone who opens Winner Stories. Please don't put anything in there you wouldn't want public.
- Never submit personal or financial details — no addresses, phone numbers, ticket numbers or bank details. There is no reason to include them and they will be rejected.
- Removal: email hello@luckydip.me and your story will be deleted. You don't need to give a reason.
Submitting is entirely optional. Using the generator itself sends nothing anywhere.
Your choices
- Change your ad choice with the link (also in the footer).
- Clear your browser's data for this site to wipe all saved preferences.
- Ask for a Winner Story you submitted to be removed, by emailing hello@luckydip.me.
- Use your browser's ad and tracking controls at any time.
